Proposed five-day circus is also on the commission’s agenda for Nov. 12

The Paramount Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Nov. 12 to consider a proposal to change the zoning on the west side of Garfield from light and heavy manufacturing to commercial manufacturing.
Another hearing on that date will look at a plan to bring a circus to the Paramount Swap Meet.
Legal challenges to either proposal may legally be limited to issues raised at the public hearings, according to legal notices from the city of Paramount announcing the hearings.

The Planning Commission is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Council Chambers at Paramount City Hall, which is located at 16400 Colorado Ave. The order of the hearings at the Planning Commission meetings won’t be known until the agenda for the Nov. 12 commission meeting is posted.

Manufacturing
According to a legal notice announcing the hearing, planners will look at changing the zoneing for Garfield Avenue, between Rosecrans Avenue and Somerset Boulevard and the northeast and southeast corners of Garfield Avenue and Somerset Boulevard.
