Pirates footballers to go to CIF quarter-finals

The Paramout High School Pirates varsity football team won last week’s tournament game against El Toro by 60-10. The PHS varsity team scored 53 of those 60 points before halftime. The hometown team now goes into the CIF Southern Section quarter finals.

The Pirates had the advantages of the home turf and a superior record for the season. The Pirates faced off against the El Toro Chargers. Paramount’s overall season record before the game: 9-1. The Pirates’ league record: 5-0. The El Toro’s overall season record before the game: 1-4. The Chargers’s league record: 0-4.

Paramount’s record now stands at 10-1 for the season. On Friday, Nov. 15, the Pirates will play an away game against Roosevelt High on Roosevelt’s turf.
