The City Council proclaimed July as Park and Recreation Month at its July 25 meeting. The celebration promotes building strong and vibrant communities through the power of parks and recreation and recognizes parks and recreation professionals. This year’s theme was “Where Community Grows.” Paramount has a history of dedicated individuals who operate its programs, services, and activities and are extremely good at serving residents and being very sensitive to their needs. Accepting the City’s proclamation was Charlene Landry, Vice Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission. From left: Councilmember Vilma Cuellar Stallings, Vice Mayor Annette C.
