On Saturday, Aug. 6, Paramount’s history from the hay and dairy days to the vibrant, attractive community of today will be put on display at the annual Heritage Parade and Heritage Festival.
The parade, mounted by the Paramount Historical Society, kicks the day off at noon, traveling from Paramount Park along the boulevard to Alondra Boulevard.
Then, from 2 to 6 p.m., the festival will provide entertainment, attractions, food for purchase, a beer garden, and more along a closed-off stretch of Paramount Blvd. south of Alondra.
In addition, the top students from Paramount High School, Odyssey STEM Academy, and Buena Vista High School with the highest grade point averages this year will be recognized.
So come on out, show your Paramount pride, and have a day full of fun.
