Summer at Paramount Pool/Orange Ave. Splash Pad

Recreational swimwiming at Paramount Park Pool is scheduled to start on Monday, July 6.

Until further notice, no more than 65 individuals will be allowed in the water per hour session, though non-swimming family members can be on the deck but appropriately social distanced from other groups.

Face masks are required at all times except when in the water. Seating is limited so individuals can bring appropriate folding lawn/deck chairs.

The hours for recreational swim are:

Monday -Thursday, 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Friday – Sunday, 1-2 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Resident pricing is $2 for adults and $1 for children, non-residents (entering the water) $5, anyone not entering the water is $1.

To qualify for resident rates, you need a key card, which is free when you show proof of residency. They are available at the Recreation Office (15300 Downey Ave.), the YMCA Office (15530 Woodruff Ave, Bellflower) or at the pool Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – noon, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (which is when sign-ups are being taken for swim lessons).

The Orange Avenue Splash Pad (14618 Orange Avenue) also opened on July 6.

Initially, there will be a limit of 40 persons in total allowed in the facility per hour session. Face mask are required at all times except when in the water.  Entry is free. There will be no private rentals of the Splash Pad this summer.

The hours are: Monday – Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
