Private 2nd Class Christopher Gourley of the U.S. Army was honored at the August 6 Paramount City Council meeting. He has been featured on the “Boulevard of Heroes” that recognizes the men and women of Paramount who are serving in the military (60 individuals in all so far). Gourley has retired from the Army so he was given both his original banner and a smaller replica version, as well as a “Challenge Coin” that signifies his connection to Paramount and how he has represented the City so well.
