The Paramount Pirates varsity team ranked second in Division 4 of the CIF Southern Section 11-man football teams, according to the California Interscholastic Federation poll for Sept. 23. The team previously ranked third in Division 4.
Camarillo topped the list of the top 10 football teams last week. No information was available about the results of the Thursday, Sept. 26 game between Paramount High School against Compton, or the Friday, Sept. 27 game against Venice.
The hometown team has a season-to-date record of 3-1.
None of the games have been conference games.
