Our Paramount High School’s varsity football team dropped to the no. 5 spot in Division 4, according to the CIF Southern Section’s Sept. 9 poll of 11-man teams.
The four teams ahead of Paramount in the polls were Villa Park, Camarillo, Palos Verdes,, and San Juan Hills. Following behind Paramount were Chapparral, Loyola, South Hills, Roosevelt, and La Mirada.
The Pirates earned their 28-20 victory against Bakersfield on Sept. 6. Information about the Sept. 13 game was not available at editorial deadline.
