At the Feb. 24 City Council meeting, Ramiro Lupercio Aquino, a fifth-grade student at Jefferson Elementary School, and Alina Belloso, a fifth-grade student from Hollydale School were both honored as Student Mayors for the Day. This program is a partnership between the city and the Paramount Unified School District which recognizes exemplary students.
