The Paramount High School Pirates varsity footballers held the position in second place for the third straight week on the Oct. 10 CIF Southern Section poll of 11-man football.

Camarillo also held its spot on the list for the third week in a row—unfortunately, it was one step above Paramount High.

Long-time rival Downey has dropped off the top 10 teams on the list, at least for now.

The Pirates now have season-to-date overall record of 5-1. The team has a conference game record of 1-0.

On Oct. 4, the Pirates defeated Lynwood by a score of 68-0. (Ouch.)
