The city held a drive-through mask giveaway Saturday, Jan. 29, at Paramount Park. There were 12,850 KN95 masks distributed to 642 cars (20 masks per car) and another 8,500 surgical masks (50 per person or car to 170 participants, either walk-ups or drivers that came after the KN95s were gone). Previously, the city had given out 3,000 KN95 masks at the Clutter Free, Paramount event and 1,500 surgical masks to Explore Paramount’s participating businesses.
