Maricela Parga, a founding member of Mujeres Unidas Sirviendo Activamente, was recognized with the September Paramount Spirit Award for her outstanding contributions to the community at the Sept. 9 City Council meeting. Following the award presentation, Maricela posed for a photo with the Paramount City Council, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones who came to celebrate the occasion.
