On March 28, the City Council and a few students from the STAR after school program broke ground on a new playground at Progress Park scheduled to open later this spring. Progress Park is one of four parks to receive a new playground as part of a recent transformation project started earlier this year. After two decades without significant updates, Paramount Park and All-American Park have already received new playgrounds, and after Progress Park’s upgrade, the final park to receive much needed enhancements will be Dills Park.
